Law Enforcement Administrator's Conference
at the Mayan Guest Ranch, Bandera, Texas
September 19 - 24, 2010
The Texas Police Association is pleased to announce the 133rd session of our “Law Enforcement Administrator’s Conference” at the Mayan Dude Ranch in Bandera, Texas. The Conference will begin at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 19, and will conclude at 12:00 noon, Friday, September 24, 2010.
Topics presented and discussed will include: Effective Management through Progressive Leadership; Liability Issues for Law Enforcement Managers (including Legal Aspects of Employee Disciplinary Procedures); Law Enforcement and the Media; Racial Profiling (Ten Things Policing Leaders Should Know); Character Driven Success; and other subjects. Individual presentations, with a lot of class participation, are the standard for instruction.
Participation in the Conference is limited to those occupying administrative, management, supervisory, or advisory positions in any Law Enforcement or Public Safety Agency. Space is limited, and due to the popularity of this program, registrations will be confirmed on a first received basis.
The total cost for the entire program including lodging, food, refreshments, & entertainment is $725.00, and can be submitted with the registration, or can be paid upon arrival. Credit Cards (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, & Visa) are accepted. Travel expenses to and from Bandera are the responsibility of the individual or his/her agency.
Forty (40) TCLEOSE credit hours of in-service training will be given to those who complete the Conference.
Please be advised that, although single room occupancy is the rule, participants may be asked to share a room with another participant, if the need should dictate.
Request for a refund of the registration fee cannot be considered after September 3rd.
