Mindsighting
This course deals with mental toughness skills for police officers in high stress situations. Course content includes: 1) Training for mental toughness; 2) Techniques to master fear; 3) Managing response stress; 4) Preventing mental lockdown; 5) Tactical self talk; 6) Enhancing concentration/focus; 7) Stopping negative thoughts.
Instructor: Dr. Michael Asken is the psychologist for the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) where he is involved with selection and training of troopers. He functions as the psychologist for the PSP Special Emergency Response Team where he consults with both tactical operators and crisis negotiators.
